Michelle H Zmugg


Michelle H. Zmugg is a graduate of the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.  Ms. Zmugg has represented national and local clients in state and federal employment matters.  Ms. Zmugg has extensive experience in the general liability practice with a diverse caseload defending insured and self-insured business entities in all stages of litigation and pre-litigation, including mediation, arbitration, negotiation, and trial.   

Ms. Zmugg has experience handling all phases of civil defense litigation in both federal and state courts. Ms. Zmugg’s legal practice is focused on general litigation representing high tech companies, non-profit organizations, commercial and residential property owners, product manufacturers, and contractors in various litigation matters including claims for personal injury, defective construction, products liability, and breach of contract issues.  Ms. Zmugg’s practice also includes defending employers in all phases of employment litigation including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation and whistleblower claims, and alleged wage and hour violations.  In addition to her extensive trial experience, Ms. Zmugg provides advice and counseling to her clients, which includes drafting employee handbooks, policies and developing best practices, conducting harassment and management training sessions and performing workplace investigations. 

Ms. Zmugg was also an Intern for the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Solicitor General in Washington D.C. where she reviewed briefs submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court.
